Athanasios Nenes - "Aerosol-Cloud Interactions: The Elusive component of climate change"
Athanasios Nenes is an associate professor in the Schools of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georiga Institute of Technology.
In this lecture at Columbia University Athanasios discusses how inspite of their importance, aerosol impacts on climate change constitue one of the most uncertain components of climate change, signifigantly affecting the predictions of climate sensitivity to GHG levels. His talk discusses how increased levels of suspended atmospheric particles exert a net cooling effect by directly scattering and absorbing solar radiation.
